Il a repris le chemin des studios d'enregistrement, dans une ferme située près de Manchester. Cet album fera suite à "Some Cities" sorti en 2005. Le groupe a déclaré sur son site officiel : "We've been in there (the farm) for a couple of weeks now mainly setting gear up and ironing out our usual technical problems! The idea is to record everything here and maybe mix elsewhere & produce the record ourselves, but knowing us lot, that could all change if we get sick of the smell of cow s*** on the farm! It's very early days so don't expect anything too soon, but there's loads of ideas kicking around & we're all well excited about where we're going to go on this one." Doves a aussi confirmé quelques concerts cet été.   Reggae Sumfest 2006 L'édition 2006, de la Reggae Sumfest se déroulera à Montego Bay, en Jamaïque, du 16 au 22 juillet. I would say we'll start working within the next few months. I've talked to [Slipknot bassist] Paul [Gray] a few times. Very slowly, no pressure."
